Gregory has almost a decade of experience in computer repairs, IT support and engineering and worked successfully as a standalone contractor for several years before joining Trusted IT. Here he  acts as a first-line support engineer, ensuring the efficient management of projects and providing technical assistance to in-bound callers.

Gregory has particular experience in systems relating to audio-visual outputs – completing installation, maintenance and on-going servicing of these interfaces and the software driven components associated with them. His wider experience includes designing and building bespoke computer systems and installing relevant software onto base units, as well as managing operating system faults and virus removal. His knowledge also includes networking – including design, infrastructure installation and setup, management and troubleshooting of servers, workstations and peripherals.

In addition to his past practical experience, Gregory is also qualified to Comptia A+ standards and has two postgraduate degrees – an MPhil in Surface Science and a joint Master’s Degree in Chemistry and Physics. As part of these, he utilised bespoke designed software to model chemical reactions via computerisation.

Outside of work, Gregory is an active member of a local church group and enjoys hiking, cycling and listening to and performing music. He plays piano and guitar, and teaches children to play the instruments too.   Gregory is also a self confessed hoarder of old IT equipment, with a house like a museum full of old ATARi and ACORN equipment.

Susan is responsible for the day to day running of the office, dealing with admin to keep the business running smoothly.

Ben’s main responsibility is to ensure the helpdesk runs smoothly, and he has spent ten years in the MSP industry in various technical and management roles.

Matt is responsible for providing first line support and managing projects to ensure they’re running efficiently and to deadlines. He contacted Trusted IT about work experience when he was at college, and was hired on the spot. Outside of work Matt likes to spend his time riding mountain bikes around the countryside and attending car shows.

Ben began his IT career working as a technician in the broadcast industry, later transferring  into a corporate IT role. He has a keen interest in Cloud computing and automation, and is excited to see how the IT sector changes in the future.

With an IT career spanning 20 years, Dave has always enjoyed working with technology and still repairs computers, laptops, games consoles and TV in his spare time. He also enjoys DIY, car maintenance and spending time with his wife and four children.

Having studied IT in school, Zach came straight to Trusted IT to get real hands-on experience in the professional environment. He brings several years of experience and is familiar with many clients’ systems, with a natural ability to troubleshoot problems remotely with little to no disturbance to the end user.

Outside of work, Zach enjoys playing the piano – you might even say that he plays two types of keyboards. Making bad jokes is another one of his hobbies.

Tim is the founder and Managing Director of Trusted IT, bringing decades of experience to the role. He remains heavily involved in the daily running of the business, including personally undertaking maintenance for several clients on our proactive support package.

Tim has always been interested in engineering and technology, always taking things apart to see how they worked – the only things on his Christmas list at the age of 12 were a soldering iron and wire cutters. Following high school and several work placements in engineering and electronics calibration, he attended Bristol’s University of the West of England, where he studied Electronic Engineering.

Specialising in Digital Systems and Software, he began his career with a placement at a software company, where he spent around a decade working writing Windows-based programs for x-ray spectrometry software and remote control systems.  This work took him all over the world, before in 1995 he decided to to start his own ecommerce company specialising in consumer electronics and software. He also took on freelance IT consultancy work, and following a number of successful contracts with repeat clients he formed Trusted IT in 2007.

Since then, the company has grown beyond expectation, and Tim’s wide ranging experience both as an IT expert and a business owner means he is perfectly placed to work with startups, SMEs and larger corporations alike. Tim’s specialisms include disaster recovery and business continuity, network design and installation, point to point connectivity and offsite maintenance solutions.

With more than 27 years in the industry, Steve deals with escalated support incidents and projects for larger clients. Technology has always been an important part of his life, and he likes to spend his spare time working with tech and exploring new developments.
